When selecting the replacement UPVC handle and spindle it is crucial to match the dimensions of the PZ of both the multipoint lock and the uPVC door. This measurement is also called 'handle centre' or cylinder centres'. It is important for matching the correct handles.

Once you have the correct PZ size, you'll need to ensure that the handle lever pads and push pads are a appropriate shape to accommodate the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved handles you need for your doors. Most of the UPVC lever pads that we offer are sprung, which means that they return to their horizontal position when they are not in use, rather than hanging out and possibly sticking in the frame. This helps prevent the draughts and cold air from entering a home. The majority of UPVC lever pad style handles are available in left and right handed models that allow them to be installed on either side of the doors.

Cylinder locks are usually used on uPVC doors, but they can be utilized on other types of doors. Cylinder locks are operated by using a key that unlocks the cylinder's case. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.

Selecting the right cylinder for your needs is essential; it is dependent on the way your doors and handles are utilized. Additionally, certain cylinders come with additional features that can improve security further, such as anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

Certain cylinders are made to withstand snapping. This is a growing kind of attack on cylinders where the break line in the lock is targeted by a tool that is specially designed to break the front of the cylinder to allow the door to be opened.
